Sinhagad fort in monsoon

Sinhagad is a well known fort near Pune. It is one of the highest fort in Maharashtra and is rich in history and natural beauty. It is heaven especially in monsoons. I have been there many times before but every time I visit the place there is something new to offer. This time I visited the fort along with few friends. We got a bus from swargate and reached the base of the fort, from there we took a jeep to the top. Let the photographs speak the rest.

Trek to Chanderi Fort

Finally I am able to post the blog on the trek to Chanderi fort. Sorry for the delay guys. This fort is near Badlapur (Thane District). The climb was short but challenging. On the way to the top we encountered several waterfalls and made complete use of the oppurtunity.

Once at the top we could see matheran on one side and Navi Mumbai on the other. The view of the below was spectacular.

After soaking the beauty of nature in front of us, we collected some firewood and made maggi inside a small cave. We then feasted on the maggi and sandwiches and after a short rest started the trek down. We were back in Badlapur by 7:00Pm.
